About this role
Lee-Scott Academy (LSA) is a Christ-centered, college-preparatory school located in Auburn, Alabama, serving approximately 800 students from preschool through grade 12. Since its founding in 1981, LSA has established itself as a leading independent Christian school in the region, known for its commitment to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and whole-child development. With a mission to provide a high-quality education in an environment where students are nurtured and challenged through biblical principles, LSA offers a dynamic and supportive community where students are known, valued, and prepared for lives of purpose and impact.
Following a decade of faithful leadership, LSA now seeks its next Head of School at a time of notable strength and opportunity. In partnership with NextEd, the Board of Trustees will conduct a comprehensive national search to identify a dynamic, mission-aligned leader who can build upon the school’s momentum and guide it into its next chapter. With continued enrollment growth, strong community support, and a clear strategic vision for the future, LSA is well-positioned for ongoing excellence. The next Head of School will be a visionary and relational leader—one who demonstrates deep commitment to Christ-centered education, brings strategic clarity, and is equipped to lead the school to even greater levels of impact across Alabama and the broader Southeast.
This search is being led by NextEd Partner Steve O’Neil on behalf of Lee-Scott Academy.
